☁️ I'm Ubaidullah Salman — a DevOps & Cloud Engineer focused on AWS, infrastructure automation, and getting code from developer machines to production reliably and fast.

I learn by building real systems end-to-end, documenting what breaks, and fixing it. That hands-on approach has sharpened my understanding of how infrastructure, pipelines, and security fit together in practice — not just on paper.

DevOps Projects

  1. CI/CD Pipeline — AWS CodePipeline

    2024
    • Automated end-to-end deployment using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy to EC2.
    • Eliminated all manual deployment steps — every push triggers a full build, test, and deploy cycle.
    • Resolved IAM permission gaps blocking CodeDeploy and fixed CodeBuild path failures during debugging.

  2. AWS Infrastructure with Terraform

    2024
    • Built modular Terraform configurations provisioning VPC, Bastion Host, NAT Gateway, and Application Load Balancer.
    • Designed for reuse across environments — no hardcoded per-project values.
    • Managed state remotely with S3 backend and DynamoDB state locking.

  3. Monitoring Stack — Prometheus & Grafana

    2024
    • Deployed Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, and Node Exporter for full system observability.
    • Configured custom dashboards and alerting rules to catch anomalies before production impact.
    • Containerized the entire stack with Docker Compose for portable, reproducible deployments.

  4. DevSecOps Pipeline — GitHub Actions

    2024
    • Integrated SonarCloud for static code quality analysis on every pull request.
    • Added Trivy vulnerability scanning on every Docker image build — security checks before deployment, not after.
    • Cleaned a 674 MB binary out of git history and resolved EC2 SSH timeout traced to a misconfigured security group.

  5. Serverless Form Web App — AWS Lambda

    2024
    • Built a fully serverless backend using S3 (static hosting), API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
    • Zero servers to patch or scale — Lambda handles all compute, DynamoDB handles all persistence.
    • Configured IAM roles with least-privilege access across all service integrations.
